Fermion-fermion scattering in quantum field theory with superconducting circuits.

چکیده
We propose an analog-digital quantum simulation of fermion-fermion scattering mediated by a continuum of bosonic modes within a circuit quantum electrodynamics scenario. This quantum technology naturally provides strong coupling of superconducting qubits with a continuum of electromagnetic modes in an open transmission line. In this way, we propose qubits to efficiently simulate fermionic modes via digital techniques, while we consider the continuum complexity of an open transmission line to simulate the continuum complexity of bosonic modes in quantum field theories. Therefore, we believe that the complexity-simulating-complexity concept should become a leading paradigm in any effort towards scalable quantum simulations.

Resonating Hartree-Bogoliubov Theory for a Superconducting Fermion System with Large Quantum Fluctuations
We develop a general theory to describe a superconducting Fermion system with large quantum fluctuations. The theory is a direct extension of the resonating Hartree-Fock (HF) theory to the Hartree·Bogoliubov case including pair correlations. We start with an exact coherent state representation of a superconducting Fermion system on 'a special orthogonal group. A state with large quantum fluctua...
متن کاملQuantum field theory of dilute homogeneous Bose-Fermi mixtures at zero temperature: general formalism and beyond mean-field corrections
We consider a dilute homogeneous mixture of bosons and spin-polarized fermions at zero temperature. We first construct the formal scheme for carrying out systematic perturbation theory in terms of single particle Green’s functions. We especially focus on the description of the boson-fermion interaction. To do so we need to introduce a new relevant object, the renormalized boson-fermion T -matri...
متن کاملThe Quantum Statistical Mechanical Theory of Transport Processes
A new derivation of the quantum Boltzmann transport equation for the Fermion system from the quantum time evolution equation for the wigner distribution function is presented. The method exhibits the origin of the time - irreversibility of the Boltzmann equation. In the present work, the spin dependent and indistinguishibility of particles are also considered.
متن کاملBistability in the Electric Current through a Quantum-Dot Capacitively Coupled to a Charge-Qubit
We investigate the electronic transport through a single-level quantum-dot which is capacitively coupled to a charge-qubit. By employing the method of nonequilibrium Green's functions, we calculate the electric current through quantum dot at finite bias voltages. The Green's functions and self-energies of the system are calculated perturbatively and self-consistently to the second order of inte...
متن کاملSuperconductivity in the Orbital Degenerate Model for Heavy Fermion Systems
Magnetism and superconductivity of new heavy fermion compounds CeTIn5 (T=Co, Rh and Ir) are investigated by applying fluctuation exchange approximation to an orbital degenerate Hubbard model. The superconducting phase with dx2−y2 -symmetry is found to appear next to the antiferromagnetic phase with increasing the orbital splitting energy. The present theory suggests that the orbital splitting e...
